Tights Tuesday: Falke Seidenglatt 15

Another week, another pair of sheer shiny tights. This week, my pick from UK tights is the Falke Seidenglatt 15. Falke has always been one of my favorite brands. In all the years I've been reviewing tights, the only real difference I can find between Falke and Wolford is that Falke is from Germany and Wolford from Austria. That being the case, I was very hopeful that the Seidenglatt 15 would compare favorably to the Wolford Satin Touch 20 or even the Kunert Satin Look 20 that I found to be identical to the Wolford version at a much lesser price.

The main difference with the Falke was denier count which, at 15, was slightly sheerer than the Wolford and Kunert counterparts. Had it not said so on the package, I wouldn't have even known there was a difference in denier count, as the Falke tights didn't feel any sheerer to the touch, or even look much sheerer, for that matter. This is a reflection upon Falke's quality, in my opinion, as even their sheerer tights are very durable and can stand up to more abuse than the 15 (or lower) denier tights of alot of other brands.

The other really noticeable thing right away, to me, was how silky soft these tights feel. I noticed this simply removing these from the package. As I slid my hand along them in preparation of putting them on, I couldn't believe how good they made my hand feel, I'm really not even exaggerating. This only got better as I put them on. I'm pretty sure these are the softest tights I own, and they just feel so smooth on my legs. They give off a shine equal to the satin tights mentioned above and just make one's legs look amazing. They do all of this at a lower price, £8.11 (or about $13), than the low-quality tights that a certain lingerie chain carries. These tights really are a must-buy! I know I've been saying this a lot lately, but if you never listen to me again, listen to me this once...you won't be sorry!

These tights are made from a blend of 89% nylon and 11% elastane. They are sheer throughout except for a cotton gusset and have soft seams on the reinforced toe. They come in 4 different sizes, fitting heights between 4'9" and 6'2". They're available in 5 different colors. I'm pretty sure I need one of each...
